This is the cleaning "me" I was working on before it morphed into Angry Blog Reader. I am still unfinished because the punched version of a feather duster that I use to clean my stove top didn't work out. So I'm open to suggestions to how to finish "me" off. Huh? Huh? Huh? What shall I make myself hold/do/be?
This really is me - glasses - sticky out gray hair - jeans - crooked nose. Except I don't wear red lipstick. And my arms aren't that thin.
Pants are the small tag punch - snipped to crotch
Shirt - wide oval trimmed
Face - owl
Hair - scallop circle repunched
yadda yadda yadda - same old stuff
I will give you a couple of REAL cleaning tips -(besides using a feather duster on your stove when you never cook.)
Try those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers for your bathtub - LOVE THEM! They really do work and are so easy!
AND get a swiffer duster - the ones that extend - oh my gosh - I can dust my ceiling fan and my baseboards with the same tool without bending over OR getting a step-stool. FABULOUS TOOL. Now my ceiling fans and baseboards stay clean instead of the once (or twice) a year cleaning they used to get. Oh, don't get so grossed out - the health department has NEVER had to come to my house. Promise!
You should be holding a swiffer duster! Thinking out loud here away from my punches...maybe use the larger piece from the photo corner punch, trimmed into two skinny ones (kind of like the arm is here), probably will need to use the other half of it to extend the length. Then layer a few of the little scallop circles from the Itty Bitty shapes punch pack, bend the edges up to make them look 'fluffy'. Glue to the end of the swiffer arm. I can see it in my head, can you? By the way, just adore your punch art. Don't leave comments very often but I do enjoy your posts.
ReplyDeleteyour work is always in inspiration ellen. i have awarded you a stylish blogger award oh punch art goddess!
ReplyDeleteBaseboards?? Are you suppose to clean them? :o)
ReplyDeletehow about having her hold a dust buster or dirt devil - those little rechargeable vacuums?
You're the punching genius hun, so no help from me, lol!!
ReplyDeleteLove the whole line of Swiffer products!!! Simply amazing and can't live without 'em!
how about a cup of tea or mug of coffee for a job well done?
ReplyDeleteA phone to give Inspiration fairy a call as cleaning duties are over!!!!
ReplyDeleteI also thought of the swifter duster but as that was already mentioned, how about a can of pledge and a dust cloth??? The can could be made from the word window and trimmed.
ReplyDeleteI like it, maybe you could be holding a cloth?Oh, and another great tip for cleaning, use vinegar on all the grease that sits around the stove top, you know what I mean. It will cut it up super easy, and it's easy to take off.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!!! Love the "Ellen" punch character! And your wit!
ReplyDeleteI agree.. Magic Eraser is the BEST!
Now Ellen, you know the perfect thing to put in that hand is a cocktail! Then you'll forget all about cleaning! LOL

If all other suggestions fail...how about a punch?
ReplyDeleteIf it was me I would be holding a check. A check you say?? Yes, I pay Debbie to be my swiffer. The only room she absolutely won't do is ... you guessed it my craft room. It looks like I took everything out and stirred it at least one good time. So on those days I have to clean up to be able to continue working, I would need a hefty bag and a shovel! Tacky but effective.
ReplyDeleteI use the swifter wet mop to wash my walls and ceilings...so much easier
