bye bye butterfly.... (sob!)

I'm not a Stampin' Up! demo anymore - but I still know a few (grin) and they told me this morning that 12 punches are retiring this year.  I saw the list and was OK with the losses UNTIL I saw the Butterfly punch and the Heart to Heart punch are getting the ax.

OH NO!!!

Take a look at the list at my right had side bar and see ALL the punch art you can make with the butterfly punch - well, don't even look there - just click this ----> 87 posts use that punch!

If you like my punch art, and you don't have this punch, BUY IT TODAY before it is gone.  I will not stop using it in my punch art unless mine breaks.  And I don't know of any other place you can find one except Stampin' Up!.   Maybe I need to buy a back up butterfly!

  2. I was amazed myself to see it go. Sometimes I wonder why they do things? Maybe they are coming out with a new butterfly, but what about all the others?

  3. They are in the business of selling product. Customers need to see NEW things. Wouldn't you hate it if you walked into Dillards or whatever your local department store is and saw that same dress they had last summer?

Sad because future punchers can never make little Miss Backsides but when the butterfly stamp goes - the butterfly punch goes. Good or bad SU is as STAMP company not a PUNCH company.

Just a dream that someone would have a punch focus... not a reality. Holding out hope they will have some flesh tone paper coming 'cause blush blossom is long gone and blushing bride is leaving too.

  5. NOT feeling the love for SU today!!! Lucky for me I'm only a hobby demo and I'm not required to drink the kool-aid!

When I die, my husband is going to make a fortune from my stamping room!!!!!

  6. Sad to hear you won't be a demo anymore. I'm officially done now too. I got tired of stamp camps and my interests have taken me in a different direction. It's a good product though. I hope you'll keep blogging!

  9. Hello from Canada! I am so glad to see that you are back at punchin' again! I used to be an SU! Demo girl myself and recently had to give it up. I don't know what's worse, paying full price or not having to worry about quarterly quottas! Anyhow, I'm so glad you are punching again! I have been regularly checking your site to see if you were back, and YOU ARE!! Yeah!!

  20. Thanks for keeping your blog up, even though you don't seem to be punching these days. You will always be my "reference" for punch art. Just used the pregnant gal "Still doing laps?" for a favorite niece. Thanks again. Alene

  21. Hi Ellen!

I too just used your pregnant lady for a card for a niece. The caption was "Memory Laps: When laps are a memory". Made the card to hold money for a pedicure before the baby arrives. Thanks for sharing your creativity. AND...please come back soon!

Are you really and truly gone? I was so hoping that the IF would find you with the holidays right around the corner. Especially Halloween - with the fun colors and character options. I hope that you and your family are well and if we are to be blessed with your talent once again I will be so happy. Wishing you a happy weekend!
