I saw something in a needlework magazine to inspire this. The caption was "If a woman's work is never done... Why start?" So I gave Office Olivia a coffee cup as her prop. Amazing how she holds it with no fingers! Do you think we could get SU to make me a couple of hand shaped punches?
I thought about naming Office Olivia - 'Cubicle Carey/Carrie' but then we'd just have to argue about how to spell the name. I also considered 'Executive Ellen' but she would have a better chair.

She is so effecient looking! I wondered if you could try a small flower for the fingers and put it behind the cup and bend them a bit to look like she is holding the cup? Just a thought.

Yeah, you used one of the blossoms for Santa's hands I think?
Yeah... I coulda (shoulda) used a flower but they just didn't look right for Olivia's polished appearance.
I decided no fingers looked better than clumsy fingers.
If/when I use her on a project I'll cut something freehand. I just try to avoid freehand for the blog stuff (if I can). I think it scares people - those same people that don't like to draw mouths or eyebrows.
She is adorable and she is perfect for Boss's Day (of those who have female bosses of course!). As for the fingers I hadn't noticed until you pointed it out, but after all we are our worst critics aren't we! Love your blog!
OMG! She is the best yet! She is absolutely awesome! She would need curly hair and a bigger bottom to be me, though, lol. The coffee cup certainly fits. Great job, as usual. You amaze me daily.

Hi Ellen I just love your blog! I double punch boho blossoms and small circles or similar shape for hands or if it is a bigger thing double punched scallop oval for hand holding something. Isnt it fun finding solutions to these little problems
Oh, Ellen, I believe I love this one best of all now. I can see myself making these and sending them to everyone at the office. This particular one I'd send to my ex-boss - she has the red hair, and headed here in NC from Dallas, TX of course. But she's a doll! It definitely reminded me of a friend who has such great posture all the time - but I'd have to make her a blond. Sure wished you had more time to list the punches you used for all of this. Not sure I can tell yet. But I'll continue trying. TFS
