Is it August already?
Psychologically, I think I'm ready for St. Patrick's day.
Time to 'fess up - which one of you knows who put speed skates on this year's calendar?
Still no punch art for today - Summer has gotten busy all of a sudden.
I'm getting ready for "the graduate" to move home as she searches for the perfect job to become "career girl" (oh how quickly we fill available space when your home isn't that large to begin with) I have had to empty a closet, a six drawer dresser, a book shelf and still have under the bed to go. Too much stuff.
And we have a vacation coming up later this month.
And we have the beginning of kid who lives at home's SENIOR year of high school and all that comes with that...
So I need you all to get me excited if you want the usual quota of punch projects.
Late this month, this little acre of blog land will celebrate it's 1st anniversary. August 23 is the actual "momentous" occasion.
What should we do to celebrate?
Ten points for the best suggestion!
I don't know if points get you anything - but it never hurts to gain points. Ummm, except in golf - or on the scale - but I, personally, avoid both of those.

Hi Ellen, I am celebrating my birthday on August 23, but I am a tad bit older than 1. Congratulations to you and to all of us who have discovered this great blog you have and the talents that you share with us here.
I don't have any ideas about how to celebrate this occasion other than with a prayer that you will continue to bless us with this blog.
Congrats on your blogaversary... isn't it amazing how much stuff a college kid can accumulate in one small shared dorm room or apartment.. even more so, how much STUFF they bring home? My DD comes home from China in a couple days... she can only bring 2 suitcases, I'm sure I will be amazed at how much STUFF she still manages to bring home (she shipped her other suitcase and a few boxes back from Poland and Germany earlier this year!!) I will pray your DD finds a wonderful job soon :) Hugs!
Oh, I remember that momentous day! For starters, your fans and followers should leave you LOTS of wonderful comments to let you know how much we enjoy your art, your blog, and all the time you put into it.
Hello!
With your creative imagination and zest for life, I believe that you will have no problem continuing to create your wonderful punch characters in your 2nd year! :<) Lucky for us!
Congratulations on your 1st anniversary! Wishing you all good things as you begin the next one!
Wishing you a good week!

Congratulations on your 1st anniversary! I enjoy seeing all your punch ideas. Please keep them up.
As for a way to celebrate I know for me just being put into a drawing to win one of your creations would be fantastic.

Wow-- a year? You have filled it with much joy and creative happiness! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and talents with all of us.
Hmm....maybe you could share some of your wonderful punch art from the past year as some blog candy, unless you have used it all for cards. Or even a year in review would be cool too!

Congratulations! I'm so glad I "found" you. You are truly an inspiration. As for how to celebrate, we should "shower" you with praise. You have given us so much. Alene
I just found your blog a couple of weeks ago and spent a lot of time looking at every last entry. What a talent and imagination you have. Honestly, I can look at those punches and the cut outs and would NEVER see what you see.
I agree with the other posters, samples of your creative talent would be a wonderful way to celebrate.
If I were you, instead of a copycat, I think I would have "punch" and cake for my anniversary. I think I will have punch and cake for your anniversary as well!
Oh Ellen with all the wonderful work you do and share with us, you owe us nothing. Your sharing of your creative mind is enough. I look forward to come to your blog everyday to see what wonderful punch art you have come up with next. I just love your blog and your punch art.
Congrats on the Blogaversary coming!

Well, this year certainly has flown by, can't believe it's half over already. Sounds like you have lots going on, not that you haven't already had an eventful summer. As far as your 1 year blog anniversary goes, congrats, and thanks for the inspiration over the past year. I think you should take the day off and just relax on the big day. It should be a gift for you, on that day, not us.
Thanks so much for all you do, my friend.
hugs
