You got some 'splainin to do

While many of you glance at my punch art and replicate it with ease, I have heard rumor that it is a little complex for some people.

So today I want to show you that somethings are so recognizable - you can punch a suggestion of your subject and people will instantly know what it is - I am calling it Partial Punch Art.

Anyone need me to 'splain this?

I'd love to see some other 'partial' punch art - are you up for the challenge?

Let's try some retro TV...
Oh Rob!
Yes Master.
I know nothing
Your mission, if you choose to accept it...
One ringy dingy...

Can you do some 'partial punch art' to go with these lines?  Try it! You know the email address - send me what you come up with.

You young'uns are exempt from the challenge - you have probably never seen these shows.

Yes Carrie based on your photo you are probably too young.

Oh Rob! - was the Mary Tyler Moore as Laura on the Dick Van Dyke Show

Yes Master! was from I Dream of Jeannie

I know nothing was from Hogan's Heros (said with a German accent)

Your mission... was from the Original Mission Impossible

One ringy dingy is Lily Tomlin as a phone operator

Ever hear of them?

I'm 32, but an old soul.. ;)

I remember I Dream of Jeannie! I thought Yes, Master was the little fela from Fantasy Island... :D I know who Lily Tomlin is, she was on Sesame Street in my day....

I'm interested to see what people come up with!!!

Well, I'm not sure anyone is trying - but I will try them soon.

I like the idea of "abstract" punch art. It is odd and unexpected.

And Carrie, no matter how old your soul is, if your body is 32 you are too young to have watched those old shows.

Thanks for reminding me about Fantasy Island - I used to love to watch that and Love Boat, (that theme song will be in my head all day)

The love boat soon will be making another run. The love boat promises something for everyone...

Ellen - even though our bodies may be too young to have watched those shows in prime time, they were on in syndication in the afternoons in "our day" & we got to watch 'em all after school:) LOVE all those shows!!! Thanks for the fun reminders! Oh, how about "Danger, Will Robinson!" Tee-hee...

Oh Yeah! - but I'd have to 'cheat' on that one Gail - I remember the line but I couldn't even start punching from that show without googling images. But if we weren't supposed to look at them - why else would they be there?

Come on someone - try some TV themed abstract punch art!!!!

Give us a line from your show and a "partial punch"

Just to make sure I am clear on abstract punch art..... you do end up finishing it, right? Or do you just leave it that way on a page/card?

No rules Carrie - we are making this up as we go...

I will probably end up using "Lucy" as is on a scrapbook page. Could be one on loving Redheads.... could be on old TV shows.... could be on comedians I love... LOTS of possibilities

But we can go back and finish them too.

Well, I guess I should try this one since I know each and every one of these lines....does that mean I'm old? nevermind, don't answer that.

love Lucy thanks for sharing.

hugs

A revitalised show, perhaps? How about the TARDIS and The Doctor in his newest TV incarnation...
